Chicago Infiniti Dealership Presents 2011 Infiniti FX

The Infiniti FX kicks off 2011 with a bang at our local Infiniti dealer serving Chicagoship, Infiniti of Lisle, as this iconic performance crossover receives several important enhancements for the new year.

To start, two engine options are available for the 2011 Infiniti FX. Drivers can choose the 390-horsepower 5,0-liter, 32-valve DOHC V8 engine, which features Variable Valve Event & Lift. The VVEL system helps the engine breathe freely, enabling instant acceleration and enhanced efficiency. Or, drivers can opt for the 303-horsepower 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC V6 engine.

No matter the choice, each engine is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission, complete with Adaptive Shift Control. Solid magnesium paddle shifters are also available.

For 2011, the Infiniti FX offers available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. This system, which comes standard on FX50 models, provides power where and when drivers need it, constantly and instantly adapting to changing road conditions. Our Infiniti Intelligent AWD system monitors wheel spin, throttle position and vehicle speed delivering power as needed to enhance the 2011 FX’s traction and control.

Also available is Infiniti’s Continuous Damping Control system with special electronically controlled shock absorbers, providing optimal ride and handling for the smoothest ride possible.

Rear Active Steer and Intelligent Brake Assist with Forward Collision Warning are also available. Using the system’s laser range finder, FCW alerts drivers of potential collisions with a visible and auditory warning. In the event that the driver doesn’t respond to the warnings, Intelligent Brake Assist will kick in, automatically engaging the brakes to reduce collision speed and impact.

Safety in the 2011 FX is also enhanced by the Vehicle Dynamic Control system, which corrects oversteer or understeer by applying brake pressure to individual wheels and adjusting the engine’s power output.

Beneath the powerful, performance-packed frame of the 2011 Infiniti FX sits a warm, modern and inviting interior environment. The driver-oriented cockpit design features intuitive controls, available sport seating and an advanced audio and navigation system. This high-tech system is highlighted by an available 11-speaker Bose-developed audio system. The Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation package includes an 8-inch color touch-screen display, with lane guidance and 3-D building graphics.

Three distinct models of the 2011 FX are available: the FX50 All-Wheel drive with a 5.0-liter V8; the FX35 with All-Wheel drive and a 3.5-liter V6; and the FX 35 Rear-Wheel Drive with a 3.5-liter V6. The 2011 FX50 features an available Deluxe Touring package with Maple interior accents, aluminum pedals and 21-inch wheels and tires.
